Prostate Cancer Registry - coming very soon

In 2021 Prostate Cancer Research began work on developing the first-of-its-kind prostate cancer registry in the UK. As I've noted in this blog earlier it seems extraordinary that this sort of research has not been going on for years....how can we possibly fully understand treatments and their efficacy without collecting this data.

At last it is coming - all credit to Prostate Cancer Research - they write: "We believe that a prostate cancer registry will revolutionise prostate cancer diagnosis, treatment and care by putting real people at the centre of research. It will bring together personal experience with clinical records in a safe and secure way with the potential to transform future research and connect patients with personalised medicines of the future."

What is great is that they are including data like lifestyle and complimentary approaches to cancer as well as conventional - plus putting patients at the heart of it all. It sounds like in international circles this approach is pretty groundbreaking.
